Financial Controller (Private Equity)

Our client - global investment management company, is looking for a Financial Controller with a focus on private equity. This is a perfect opportunity for talents to excel their career and discover how business is made at a hedge fund in Vilnius.
The company has a proven track record of delivering consistent performance for over 15 years in a strategy focused on utilities, industrials, commodities, and infrastructure globally. Company has offices in Cayman Islands, London, New York, and Gibraltar.
The firm is a global financial and economic research provider, catering to a range of asset management institutions including hedge funds, mutual funds, private equity funds, etc. The team of highly experienced professionals have been accoladed multiple times as the best in the field. The organizational structure of the firm is relatively flat, which means that talents are recognized early and rigorous work ethic translates into actual investment decision making. This is the only opportunity in the Baltic states to get exposure to financial markets and asset management in a way that it is done in the City and Wall Street.
Our expectations for the candidate:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA, CFA, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial control or accounting, preferably in a hedge fund or private equity environment.
- In-depth knowledge of hedge fund structures, private equity fund operations, and relevant accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modelling and data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, and investors.
- Experience in managing audits and regulatory reporting.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions related to private equity investments, fund operations, and expenses.
- Monitor fund cash flow, capital calls, and distributions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the fund, investors, and management.
- Coordinate the preparation of annual balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against forecasts and budgets.
- Monitor and report on fund performance, portfolio company valuations, and investor capital allocations.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for quarterly board meetings, investor presentations, and fundraising efforts.
The salary range for this position starts at 3500 € (net) per month + bonus up to 25% annual salary upon results.
