Platform Development Manager
The Opportunity:
Our client - ReCar e-commerce platform builder, operator, and scaler supporting hundreds of car dismantlers worldwide, is now looking for a Platform Development Manager to join its team in Vilnius.
ReCar helps its clients to run their operations efficiently and connect with global marketplaces to sell used auto parts. ReCar mission is to help businesses reduce waste, consume less energy, and contribute to a cleaner planet by extending the life of auto parts.
About the Role:
ReCar is growing and seeking a Platform Development Manager to take strategic and operational responsibility for their portfolio of platforms. In this role, you will act as the central link between business stakeholders (supply team, customer service, partners), IT development teams, and external collaborators (marketing agencies). Your main mission: ensure the platforms are commercially successful, technologically robust, and aligned with internal team needs and customer expectations.
This is not a traditional marketing or product role — you will be responsible for balancing commercial priorities, translating business needs into tech requirements, and building scalable, efficient solutions that serve internal and external users. Digital marketing will support your platform goals.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Define and own the product vision and roadmap across recar.lt, sendversal.lt, and dalys.lt/partversal.xx.
- Continuously gather input from internal teams, end-users, and external partners to guide platform development and prioritization.
- Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure feature delivery, scalability, and quality.
- Understand and prioritize commercial needs such as monetization opportunities, partner integrations, and client-facing improvements.
- Oversee platform integration and performance with external
sales channels (eBay, Allegro, etc.).
- Collaborate with logistics and external partner teams (like courier companies) to ensure end-to-end sales process runs smoothly.
- Coordinate with external marketing agencies on digital initiatives that support platform growth.
Our expectations for the candidate:
- 3+ years of experience as a product owner, project manager, platform manager, or similar role.
- Strong commercial mindset and ability to work across both business and technical domains.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional initiatives involving development projects, operations, and/or marketing.
- Excellent communication and prioritization skills — you know how to say “yes,” “no,” and “not now” with clarity.
- Familiarity with e-commerce tools and platforms, as well as data analytics and reporting dashboards.
- Experience with online marketplaces (e.g., eBay, Allegro), and digital sales models is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid role that includes product thinking, operations awareness, and stakeholder engagement.
