Accounts Payable Accountant

Our client, a prestigious global investment management firm, is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join its multicultural team. You will be part of a close-knit local team of around 40 professionals while collaborating closely with offices in London and New York. The office is located in the heart of Vilnius Old Town, offering a vibrant and inspiring work environment.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for accounts payable accountants, reconciliation officers or other operational accounting specialists to broaden their career into the field.

Working most closely with the CEO, you will build bridges between administration, accounting and external suppliers. You will closely collaborate with local and international services providers and internal accounting team members.

What you'll do:

• Assist in processing daily accounts payable transactions accurately and on time

• Liaise with suppliers regarding invoices, payments, and account queries

• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

• Maintain and update supplier master data, including banking details

• Coordinate the setup of new suppliers in the accounting system

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities

• Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and compliant with internal procedures

• Execute assigned tasks efficiently, professionally, and within deadlines

• Carry out additional accounting and administrative duties as delegated by the Manager

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field

• 2–5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role

• Understanding of accounting principles, especially accounts payable

• Good attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Proficient in MS Excel; experience with accounting software is an advantage

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team

• Professional attitude and willingness to learn

Salary range: between €1,700-2,500 net/month + annual bonus (performance-based).
